Originals and their prints
Each photo shows a customer’s original beside our print. If you can’t tell which is which — neither will your buyers.
Questions, answered
Yes. Before you order, call us on 07562 102 692 and we'll talk you through photographing your work — or bring the original to our Wirral studio and we'll capture it on our large-format scanning bed (up to 1.5 × 1m) in gallery-grade colour. Scanning and origination starts at £20.
Yes. If you can't get your work to us for scanning or professional photography, lay it flat in natural light — no direct sun or shadows — and photograph it straight-on. We can upscale the image and fix most issues before printing, and we'll always flag anything that won't do your work justice before you pay.
Because it's the skilled work that makes the difference between a good print and a perfect one. Scanning is by far the best way to capture artwork for print, and it takes time — especially with larger pieces. We then adjust and correct the image and test-print it, sometimes several times, until the print and the original are indistinguishable. If your work needs photographing instead, we use colour-balanced flash for a natural, accurate image before editing and test printing. And it's a one-off cost — your high-resolution file is yours to reprint from whenever you like.
Post it to our Wirral studio or drop it in. We'll return your original along with your prints (return postage charged at cost) and, if you'd like, email you the high-resolution JPEG, TIFF or PSD files too. Everything is sent Royal Mail first class, signed for.
A JPG, TIFF, PNG or PSD up to 100MB. Aim for 300dpi at print size — 180dpi is the workable minimum. As a rule of thumb for JPGs: A4 at least 0.5 MB, A3 at least 1 MB, A2 at least 2 MB, A1 at least 4 MB. We check your file automatically when you upload and flag anything too small before you pay.
We print and post within 24 hours of receiving your images, sent Royal Mail first class, signed for — which normally takes 1–2 days to arrive. Most orders are on your doorstep within 2–3 days. UK Mainland delivery is a flat £2.95, Highlands & Islands £12.95, or collect free from our Wirral studio.
From a single print. No minimum order, no setup fees — ideal if you're testing which of your pieces sell before committing to a run.
PermaJet P31 Light Textured Art Matt 210 — Textured matt · Alpha cellulose, best for poster art, reproductions & photography. Pinnacle Premium Lustre — Pearl / lustre, best for vibrant photographic prints. Hahnemühle Photo Rag — Smooth matte · 100% cotton, best for fine art & photography. Innova Exhibition Matte Canvas — Matt polycotton, best for gallery wraps & stretched canvas.
Yes — we print for many professional photographers. Most prefer a matt finish for their work, though we also offer a semi-lustre paper if you'd like a little more depth and sheen. Not sure which suits your images? Call us and we'll recommend the best match.
Over 100 years, even displayed in daylight. We print with archival pigment inks on certified fine-art papers to Fine Art Trade Guild standards, and every print carries our archival guarantee label — so your buyers know exactly what they're getting.
Because the materials are genuinely different. Archival fine-art papers and pigment inks cost more than poster stock and standard inks — but they're what make a print gallery-quality and lightfast for 100+ years instead of fading within a few. It's also why artists can charge more for giclée: you're selling a certified archival print, not a poster.
Epson twelve-colour large-format printers — the professional standard for giclée. They allow us to produce archival prints up to 44 inches wide, at any length.
