Before you order, call us on 07562 102 692 and we'll talk you through photographing your work — or bring the original to our Wirral studio and we'll capture it on our large-format scanning bed (up to 1.5 × 1m) in gallery-grade colour. Scanning and origination is £20 per piece, whatever the size.

Yes. Lay the work flat in natural light — no direct sun or shadows — and photograph it straight-on. We use specialist software to enlarge images while holding their quality, so even a small file can usually be printed on a large scale. If your file won't do your work justice at the size you've chosen, we'll email you before printing to talk through the options.

Yes, and we don't charge for it. Add a note to your order telling us what you'd like removed or altered and we'll do it — we can also straighten images that aren't square, correct distortion, and restore very old photographs.

Because it's the skilled work that makes the difference between a good print and a perfect one. Scanning is by far the best way to capture artwork for print, and it takes time — especially with larger pieces. We then adjust and correct the image and test-print it, sometimes several times, until the print and the original are indistinguishable. If your work needs photographing instead, we use colour-balanced flash for a natural, accurate image before editing and test printing. And it's a one-off cost — your high-resolution file is yours to reprint from whenever you like.

Post it to our Wirral studio or drop it in. Origination and colour balancing is £20 per piece, regardless of size. We'll return your original along with your prints (return postage charged at cost, tracked and signed for) and, if you'd like, email you the high-resolution JPEG, TIFF or PSD files too.

A JPG, TIFF, PNG or PSD up to 100MB. Aim for 300dpi at print size — 180dpi is the workable minimum. As a rule of thumb for JPGs: A4 at least 0.5 MB, A3 at least 1 MB, A2 at least 2 MB, A1 at least 4 MB. We check your file automatically when you upload and flag anything too small before you pay.

Prices scale with size, so an A5 print is half the cost of an A4 and so on. Order any of the standard sizes online, or contact us with your dimensions and we'll quote you.

From a single print. No minimum order, no setup fees — ideal if you're testing which of your pieces sell before committing to a run. The one exception is A5, which we print in runs of four or more.

That depends on the delivery option you pick at checkout. Standard is delivered within 4 days, tracked by Royal Mail. Express is dispatched within a day and sent Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, so it's with you by 1pm the next working day. Standard delivery is £3.95, Express £15.00, or collect free from our Wirral studio.

By Royal Mail — tracked on Standard, Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm on Express. Prints up to A3 go flat in a cardboard-backed envelope; anything larger is rolled into a sturdy postal tube. If you'd like a signature taken on delivery, add it for £2 when you choose your delivery option.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm — widely considered the best matt printing media available. It's a heavyweight, cotton-rich sheet that simply feels premium in the hand. PermaJet P31 210gsm is a cheaper alternative: a lighter, wood-based paper with a slight texture.

Yes — we print for many professional photographers. Pinnacle Premium Lustre 300gsm if you want a semi-gloss or pearl finish, or Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm for a premium matt finish. Yes. Every canvas print comes with a 3″ gallery wrap all round, plus an extra inch of canvas for stretching.

Every paper and canvas we offer, whatever its price, is archival and guaranteed lightfast for 100 years plus — even displayed in daylight. We print with pigment inks on certified fine-art media to Fine Art Trade Guild standards, and each print comes with a peel-off label stating its archival quality, which you can hand on when reselling or stick to the back of framed work.

None of our papers are 100% recycled, though all contain some recycled content. Recycled stock tends not to be white enough for precise colour reproduction, which is why it's rarely used in fine art or photographic printing. We can source hemp or bamboo alternatives for orders large enough to justify buying them in.

Because the materials are genuinely different. Archival fine-art papers and pigment inks cost more than poster stock and standard inks — but they're what make a print gallery-quality and lightfast for 100+ years instead of fading within a few. It's also why artists can charge more for giclée: you're selling a certified archival print, not a poster.
